  • Encourage students to complete trial schedules using the Schedule of Classes and their Bulletin.
  • Recommend placement exams for those who need to take them.
  • Review students' academic progress (advising notes, Progress Reports, etc.).
  • Check holds (SIS 148).
  • Ensure that you have the Advising and Registration packet from the Registrar's Office.

During Appointments

  • Discuss outlook on current semester.
  • Complete curriculum checklists and have students make notes in their Bulletin.

  • Check placement exam results (SIS 210), if applicable.
  • Complete Registration Form
  • Provide the appropriate RAC (from the list issued by the Registrar's Office).
  • Remind them of holds and/or registration times/processes.
  • Answer other outstanding questions.
  • Make notes of discussions.
After Appointments
  • Check SIS 109 to see if they indeed registered for the appropriate courses.
  • Follow up with those who did not register.
