General Information
Go Bears! The Mercer community always eagerly awaits your arrival on campus, and we hope that Move-In Day on Saturday, August 18, 2012, will be an exciting time for you and your family!
This website contains directions to your specific residence hall and other relevant information. It also contains specific documents you will need to print. Be sure to print your corresponding map, directions, and parking permit, linked to the right of this page. Members of the Mercer community will also be on campus, ready to help direct you.
When you arrive at your residence hall, the Mercer Welcome Team will be waiting for you! Please review the move-in instructions in the right-hand column for more information.

Check-In Procedures
Mark all belongings with
your room information
(i.e. Dowell 313)
Follow your specific residence hall's directions
Proceed through assigned campus entrance to your residence hall
Meet the Mercer Welcome Team at the drop-off spot
(see map for your residence hall)
Go inside the residence hall to check-in with Residence Life, Admissions, and
Orientation staff
Don't forget to park your car in your assigned lot
Unload, Unpack, Unwind
Shout "Go Bears!"
You're done!

Important Information: Please do NOT refer to our Directions Page to get to campus.
For all residence halls, the directions are slightly different. Please instead follow the directions below. Note: the word Map below each residence hall name links to a Google Map with the route drawn-out.
Roberts Hall
Interactive Map
- Place Parking Pass on Dashboard (print ahead of time, available on the right-side of this page)
- Take Exit #163 (Mercer University Drive)
- Turn right (if heading North on I-75) or turn left (if heading South on I-75) onto Mercer University Dr, heading East on GA 74.
- Proceed to the first traffic light and turn left onto Stadium Drive (entering campus)
- Turn left at the stop sign (you will pass the Hilton Garden Inn), the street will become Winship Street
- Turn right onto Montpelier Ave. and proceed to Linden Avenue
- Turn right onto Linden Avenue and proceed to the first stop sign at Mercer Terrace.
- Turn left onto Mercer Terrace and proceed to the stop sign at Adams Street.
- Members of the Mercer Welcome Team will give you further instructions on check-in, unloading your vehicle, and parking.
Plunkett Hall

- Place Parking Pass on Dashboard (print ahead of time, available on the right-side of this page)
- Take Exit #163 (Mercer University Drive)
- Turn right (if heading North on I-75) or turn left (if heading South on I-75) onto Mercer University Dr, heading East on GA 74.
- Proceed to the first traffic light and turn left onto Stadium Drive (entering campus)
- Turn right at the stop sign.
- At the next stop sign, turn left onto College Street
- Turn right at the first stop sign in front of the Engineering Building (Prince Street)
- Turn left behind the Medical School and proceed through the parking lot to the gate.
- Turn left at the gate.
- Turn right at the next road on your right and proceed (the wrong way) up the one-way street.
- Members of the Mercer Welcome Team will give you further instructoins on check-in, unloading your vehicle, and parking.
Porter Hall

From Interstate 75, Heading North
- Take I-75 North to exit #164 (Hardeman Ave/Forsyth St.)
- Veer right at the top of the exit ramp
- Proceed to the second traffic light and turn right onto College Street
From Interstate 75, Heading South
- Take I-75 South to exit #164 (Hardeman Ave/Forsyth St.)
- Take ramp off interstate and follow to the second light.
- Turn left at the second light, proceed three more traffic lights and turn right onto College Street.
For all I-75 travelers
- Continue down College Street to the North Entrance to Mercer.
- Just inside the North Entrance to Mercer, members of the Mercer Welcome Team will give you further instructions on check-in, unloading your vehicle, and parking.
Boone and Dowell Halls

From Interstate 75, Heading North
- Take I-75 North to exit #164 (Hardeman Ave/Forsyth St.)
- Veer right at the top of the exit ramp
- Proceed to the second traffic light and turn right onto College Street
From Interstate 75, Heading South
- Take I-75 South to exit #164 (Hardeman Ave/Forsyth St.)
- Take ramp off interstate and follow to the second light.
- Turn left at the second light and proceed three more traffic lights and turn right onto College Street.
For all I-75 travelers
- Continue down College Street to Coleman Avenue/Ash Street
- Turn left onto Ash Street (you will see the North Entrance to Mercer in front of you)
- Take the first right, through a gate, onto College Street Lane going the wrong way down a one-way street.
- After making this turn, members of the Mercer Welcome Team will give you further instructions on check-in, unloading your vehicle, and parking.
