Transfer Student Orientation Program
for transfer students beginning in the fall semester
A one-day session designed specifically for transfer students to acclimate them and their families to Mercer University’s academic and campus resources.  Students have the opportunity to meet with a representative from their academic department to determine a fall course schedule, learn more about student organizations and opportunities for campus involvement, meet members of the Mercer community, and visit various offices to complete campus business before the semester begins.


Transfer Orientation Registration:
Beginning in May, once the enrollment deposit is paid, transfer students are sent a link via e-mail to register for Transfer Student Orientation.  Contact your transfer admissions counselor in the Office of Admissions with any additional questions.

After Transfer Student Orientation:
After Transfer Student Orientation, transfer students attend Mercer's fall orientation program known as Transfer Welcome Day.  This special program for transfer students provides an opportunity to connect with other transfer students, buy fall textbooks, and generally prepare before the first day of classes on Tuesday, August 20, 2013.

Local Accomodations:
For information regarding travel to Mercer and local accommodations, please visit our Directions to Orientation page.  The Hilton Garden Inn, conveniently located on campus, offers a special room rate for all incoming students and their families attending orientation.  Just enter Group Code MTO to stay anytime between June 27-28, 2013.  Click here for more information!

Arrival and Orientation Check-In:
Your day begins with check-in at the University Center.  Upon your arrival to campus, please follow the orientation signage for parking locations.  Our orientation staff in orange polos will direct you to the University Center.
