May Orientation

for all new students beginning in a summer term
A one-day session is held each May prior to the beginning of classes for all new students enrolling for a summer term.  This orientation is for both first-year and transfer students.

May Orientation Purpose:

  • Meet with a faculty advisor to create summer schedule
  • Interact with new classmates
  • Meet student Peer Advisors who will provide valuable information and support
  • Learn more about Mercer's many leadership and service opportunities, and
  • Become better connected to the Mercer University community

May Orientation Registration:

Once a student has secured attendance to Mercer by paying the enrollment deposit with the Office of Admissions, the student is e-mailed a link to submit their May Orientation Registration.  May Orientation Registration allows students to update contact information, specify summer course preferences, and register for May Orientation.  Contact your admissions counselor in the Office of Admissions with any additional questions.
