The Essence of OLT
The Orientation Leadership Team (OLT) has a tremendous opportunity to give back to Mercer by positively affecting orientation programming as it relates to first-year students.  Working with the Office of Academic & Advising Services, OLT has the unique capability to help shape the orientation program, provide feedback on the program's current strengths and areas of improvement, mentor and guide Peer Advisors, and implement Summer Orientations, Transfer Orientation, and Bear Beginnings.

Above all, OLT cares to give back to the Mercer community through positively impacting the experience of our newest Mercerians.
OLT, serving with the Coordinator of New Student Programs, forms the Orientation Head Staff and accomplishes all orientation tasks to assist in the transition of new students to Mercer.  OLT must believe in the power of teamwork, aspiring to
provide support to our Peer Advisor staff, who in turn support the incoming first-year students. OLT is about supporting your peers, supporting the program, and working in a truly collegial relationship with Amanda.

Expectations and Compensation
Joining OLT requires openness to new ideas, a willingness to serve, and an ability to look  beyond one's own needs to the needs of others.  It requires
self-determination and self-motivation.  OLT creates rewarding, enriching experiences that have the ability to significantly impact an individual's future.  Being a member of OLT is for the love of first-year students, for the love of orientation, and for the love of Mercer.
