Preparation for Professional and Graduate School
Mercer provides a variety of services to assist students in preparing for entry into professional school. Beyond advising, Pre-Professional Programs offers a series of seminars, workshops, entrance exam preparation, and letters of recommendation for qualified students. Students wishing to surround themselves with young people with similar goals may join MerPMed, Mercer's club for all pre-health students. High-achieving pre-health students are invited to apply for membership in the Georgia Epsilon chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the national pre-health professions honor society. Pre-pharmacy students are encouraged to join the Association of Pre-Pharmacy Students (APPS). Pre-health students may also join Beta Beta Beta, the national biology honor society, and/ or the Mercer student chapter of the American Chemical Society.
