Services
Academic Advising
Our office coordinates academic advising for students around campus. Upperclass students are assigned an academic advisor in the major department. For first-year students, this advisor is often the instructor of an UNV or BUS course. Students enrolled in a pre-health track receive academic advising out of our office related to their coursework and general preparation for entering professional school. We also offer additional academic advising for all students, regardless of major or college/school. If questions or concerns arise, please do not hesitate to contact us.
University 101 Course
Students enrolling at Mercer for the first time take a first-year seminar course. Students who are not enrolled in the School of Business take UNV 101. Business majors enroll in MAPS 101. All of these courses provide the foundation for new students to be successful at Mercer.
Academic Program Check-Sheets
These check-sheets are provided to help guide you through your academic program. Each covers the core curriculum, plus major requirements, for your elected major. These sheets are meant to be guides for your program, not a replacement of academic advising.
Pre-Professional Information
Students who plan to pursue a professional education after college in the health sciences, law, or other field have a vareity of additional academic requirements. Our office provides guidance in completing these requirements. In addition, we provide programs, trips to Mercer's professional schools, student organizations just for pre-health students, and guidance for getting accepted to a professional school. Check out all pre-professional programs has to offer!
