Speaker: J. Michael Weber, Associate Professor of Marketing
Dr. J. Michael Weber received his B.S. from the University of Florida, an M.B.A. from the University of West Florida, and a Ph.D. in Business from Louisiana State University. He has published in the International Journal of Business Disciplines, Journal of Business and Leadership, Journal of Vacation Marketing, Journal of Hospitality and Leisure Management, Journal of Fashion Marketing and Management, Journal of Environmental Education, and the Journal of Retail Banking Services. His current research interests include; Relationship Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Entrepreneurship, Teaching Methodologies, Electronic Commerce, Tourism Marketing, and Cross-Cultural Marketing.
Professionally, Dr. Weber has more than 13 years of active consulting experience as the CEO and/or managing partner of a marketing consulting firm that provides business and marketing services to a wide variety of firms/organizations and government institutions. His current and/or past clients have included American Airlines, Texaco, Turner Broadcasting, Commerce Bank, Sun Trust, Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Baptist Health Care, The Environmental Protection Agency, The Center for Disease Control, The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Safety, The City of Fort Lauderdale, The Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce, The Jamaican Department of Infrastructure Development, and WebMD. He was also the V.P. of Marketing for Turks and Caicos Airways Holdings in which his responsibilities included the development of a comprehensive business plan that attracted funds in outside financing for the conversion of a local airline into an international carrier.

Speaker: Betsy Johnson, M.Ed. Director, Office of Career Services - Atlanta Campuses
Betsy Johnson received her B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an M. Ed. in Community and Occupational Programs in Education from the University of South Carolina. She has been published in the Georgia Journal of Professional Counseling. She is past president of the Georgia Career Development Association, past president of the Georgia Career Consortium and founding member of the Atlanta Alumni Career Consortium. Betsy also works with the CDC leadership institute teaching how to identify and understand the personality traits of a leader.
Betsy Johnson, Director of Career Services for the Atlanta campuses (Atlanta, Henry, Douglas, Savannah), is a career specialist with more than 15 years of experience assisting students and alumni to become more effective in the management of their careers. As an advisor/coach, she guides individuals through the strategic process of identifying, packaging, and capitalizing upon their individual qualities fundamental to their success. With over 30 years of work in multiple industry areas, Betsy Johnson has used her broad base of experiences to bring an out-of-the box perspective to inform and guide career transitioners up the corporate ladder, or to jumping off. Keeping current on employment and hiring trends is key to those she supports through the career management process. Her own experiences with juggling multiple priorities brings an empathetic but realistic perspective on the hard work necessary to transition a career into one that can be loved.
