Head Coach Nick Stutsman

 

     Head coach Nick Stutsman is in his sixth season as head coach of the Mercer Bears tennis.  He is also a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (U.S.P.T.A).  Coach Stutsman has garnered over 20 years of coaching and teaching experience.  Stutsman played collegiate tennis at Auburn University and competed professionally on both the U.S and European circuits.  Prior to coming to Mercer University, Coach Stutsman was an assistant tennis coach at the University of Georgia and a teaching professional at the Athens Tennis Club. He has earned a bachelor's degree from Auburn University and a master's degree from the University of South Alabama.

 

 

     Lorena Parra joined the Mercer Bears in January 2006 with over four years of teaching experience.  Coach Parra earned an athletic scholarship as the number one player at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Prior to playing collegiate tennis, she represented Colombia in the COSAT South American tour and achieved a top-5 ranking in her country for two consecutive years.  She has earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business at Mercer University.
