About the Stetson School of Business and Economics

Established in 1984, Mercer's business school is named for Eugene W. Stetson. A member of the Mercer Class of 1901, Stetson was responsible for the first major leveraged buyout in corporate history. He negotiated the purchase of the Woodruff Group's Coca-Cola Company from the Asa Candler family in 1919.

Stetson School of Business and Economics is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the prestigious AACSB International-- the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
