Before registering, you must have a clear financial account with the Bursar, library, housing, and/or campus police (tickets). MBA BOOK CLUB:
Please join us for refreshments, networking and a stimulating discussion about "The Wisdom of Crowds," with our own Dr. Lynch. Find out if -- and how -- the many are smarter than the elite few. The MBA program sponsors this quarterly discussion about books of business interest, and welcomes students, alumni, faculty, guests -- anyone who would like to join us!  We will meet in the Stetson Room on the second floor of Stetson Hall, from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17th. MBA ADVISORY COUNCIL LUNCH MEETING, Friday, September 15th, 11:45 a.m., City Club in Macon
The Advisory Council represents MBA program stakeholders.  Current members are Lauren Elder, Charlie Griffis, Katie Holbach, Niki Retherford, Craig Webb ('05), and Julia Wood ('05).  Thanks and best wishes to Chris Williams ('04), who is relocating to Houston for a promotion with El Paso. Congratulations also to Niki Retherford, who has been awarded scholarships at BOTH the regional and national levels from the professional society, IAAM (International Association of Assembly Managers). Her focus on facilities management, her work at the University Center and the Centreplex, AND her academic achievements were ALL recognized. Kudos! We meet once each semester to discuss program news, curricular improvements, and social events.  If you are interested in serving on the Council, please email Dr. Brennan
  
BAM 699 SYLLABUS:Students registering for BAM 604 Operations Management this semester should obtain the syllabus online: http://ssbea.mercer.edu/brennan/604syllabus.htm.  The first class meeting will be on Tuesday, August 22nd, at 5:30 in Stetson Hall.
  
FALL SEMESTER ELECTIVE:You can do an internship for academic credit and/or resume experience. If you would like to do an internship as a graduate elective, please contact Dr. Brennan. The Office of Career Services, located in the Connell Student Center, provides many services to MBA students.  Graduate students are also eligible for internship positions provided by local employers who support the Stetson School of Business and Economics' Managed Academic Path to Success (MAPS) Program.  For more information, contact Mary Roberts (roberts_mj@mercer.edu) at 478-301-2863.  Career Services offers resume assistance and interview preparation as well as on-campus interviews and job fairs.  
  
ACADEMIC ADVISING:
Dr. Brennan is available by appointment for advisement throughout the year.  New students should meet with her in the first half of their first semester, for orientation. Please call her at 301-2199 or email at Brennan_LL@Mercer.edu.
  
WITHDRAW/DROP FROM A CLASS:
In order to drop or withdraw from a course, please complete a Drop/Add Form or Course Withdrawal Form, have your instructor sign and date it, and then return it to Bob Holland in the SSBE office.  Forms are available in the SSBE office or in the Registrar's Office. The refund policy of the University is outlined on Mercer University Bulletin.

ARE YOU READY TO GRADUATE?
MBA students must apply for graduation in order to receive their degree. At the latest, this should be done the semester before you expect to complete your course work. You can make application by completing the survey (which is the request for graduation) at http://survey.mercer.edu.
 
GPA REMINDER!!!
MBA students must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average (GPA) for graduation and award of the MBA degree.  In addition, students can not have more than 2 "C's" and/or "C+'s" in their entire graduate work.  Grades below "C" do not count towards the MBA.  No more than two (2) courses with a grade of "C" can be repeated for credit in the graduate program.
 
CHANGE OF ADDRESS:
Please provide Bob Holland with any changes of address and/or telephone numbers. Dr. Brennan is always excited to hear about job changes.
