Admission to the Master of Science in Public Safety Leadership Program

 

Admission requirements for the Master of Science in Public Safety Leadership degree program are as follows:

  • File a formal application for admission to graduate studies with a $25.00 application fee.
  • Have earned an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Have earned a minimum overall undergraduate quality point average of 2.75 on all work attempted.
  • Present a minimum score of 800 on the GRE (excluding the analytical section) or 41/397 on the Miller Analogies Test.
  • Submit a written autobiography including career goals.
  • Submit two official transcripts of all college work attempted.
  • Obtain a certificate of immunization.
  • Provide three letters of recommendation from people who are qualified to assess your academic potential in graduate school.
  • Provide official scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) if English is not the applicant's native language.
  • Attend an interview by the departmental admissions committee as the final step for admission.
Students are considered and admitted to the Public Safety Leadership program prior to the beginning of each semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer) per year after applications and all supporting materials are received.
