How to Unsubmit a Document

Completing and Editing a Document:

  1. Documents can have multiple pages (pages are listed in the menu on the left side of the document) and pages can have multiple sections (sections are denoted by colored segmenting lines in the right-hand frame).  You can navigate between pages by clicking on the page name on the left or by clicking the next page or previous page link at the top of the page.
  2. The templates you used to create your versions of the assignments contain guidelines and instructions for the assignments themselves.  You will add your work to these documents to complete the assignments.  Spaces have been provided for your work (the location varies by assignment).  Locate the page(s) and section(s) into which you will place your work.
  3. On the far right of each section divider, you will see an edit link (in blue).  Click the edit link for a given section (be sure it is the one you want to add text to) and a word-processing window will open (if this is a text-and-image section, which most sections in templates are).
  4. Type your response into the word-processing box.  Use the word-processing tools to format your text (these are not very sophisticated tools, so it is best to keep your formatting simple until you learn how to use them).  Note the “ABC” symbol in the toolbar – this is a spellchecker – use it. (You can also choose to create your response first in a word processing program, like Microsoft Word, and then copy-and-paste it into the section’s word processing box. However, LT does not recommend this option, because some formatting gets lost in the process.)
  5. For more detailed instructions of using the HTML editor in the word processing box, see LiveText’s instructions: Using the HTML Editor.
  6. When you have completed your response, click Save at the bottom of the frame; then click Finish (upper right corner).  This takes you back to your document, where you should now see the text you just created.
