DISPOSITIONS PERMISSION SUBMISSION
Create only ONE Dispositions Assessment Permission document each semester, using the following procedure:
- Login to your LiveText account.
- Click Create. Under Choose a Folder, choose Mercer University: Dispositions. For template, all Teacher Ed candidates choose Dispositions Assessment Permission. Ed Leadership candidates choose the template entitled EDL Dispositions Assessment Permission.
- Name your document: Dispositions, [semester] – to indicate the semester, use the following format: 08U (for summer), 08F (for fall), 09S (for spring). Do not include anything else in the title. Example: Dispositions, 08U.
- Skip Description; click Create Document.
- Your document will then open; note that a new section appeared for the first time in Fall 2007. Your Dispositions Assessment Permission now includes a view of your Candidate Information Form on the first page. Please follow the directions in the document itself, to ensure that the information in this form is correct before submitting it to your instructors.
- When you have ensured that the Candidate Information Form information is correct for this semester, submit this document for review to all your instructors (including University Supervisors, if you are doing a field placement) by doing the following:
- Click Submit for Review (upper right).
- Type your instructors’ names, wait for it to look them up, then select the ones you want. Once the appropriate accounts appear in the box, click Submit.
- For students taking first and second session courses: you can submit your dispositions permission document to your first session instructors now and add your second session instructors later. When you need to add them, simply open the document (do not make another one), click on Submit for Review again, and add the new names.
- THINGS TO AVOID:
- Do NOT create more than one dispositions assessment permission document in a single semester (unless you are an Ed.S. candidate who is also pursuing an Add-On certification in Ed Leadership -- see specific instructions on the first page of the permission documents themselves).
- Do NOT include anything in your Dispositions Assessment Permission document title other than the word “Dispositions” and the current semester.
- Do NOT submit your Dispositions Assessment Permission document to any of the generic accounts – only submit it to the instructors of the courses you are taking and the university supervisor for your field placement (if applicable).
