Congratulations to Dr. Sylvia Taylor, a new Tift College faculty member at the Henry and Douglas County Regional Academic Centers, for receiving the Distinguished Dissertation Award from the Georgia Association of Teacher Educators. Dr. Taylor's research, Academic Resilience in African American Students: A Study of Recovery from Proximal Risk, was selected for the award for the 2007-08 year.
