  • TUITION WAIVER - Mercer provides a generous undergraduate tuition waiver to eligible employees, their spouses and their dependents.  Some graduate tuition assistance is also available.
  • TECHNOLOGY - The Learning Technologies Center provides instructional workshops, individual consultations and many other opportunities for faculty and staff development in New Media and instructional technologies.

  • NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION BENEFITS - Mercer and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation have teamed up to offer a Down Payment Assistance Program designed to encourage Mercerians to participate in revitalization of neighborhoods surrounding the Macon campus.
  • HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - Building their first Habitat house in 1997, students and staff continue to work together on this volunteer project.

  • UNIVERSITY CHAPEL SERVICES - Each week students and staff are invited to gather as a community of faith for chapel services in Newton Hall. Atlanta campus employees are welcome to join the McAfee School of Theology students and faculty for a weekly community worship service in the auditorium of Cecil B. Day Hall.

  • GRAND OPERA HOUSE - This historic landmark is the performing arts center for Mercer University and features an annual series of national touring companies presenting Broadway productions.  In addition, the Grand Opera House is home to the Macon Symphony Orchestra and the GrandKids program.
  • MERCER MUSICAL PERFORMANCES - Mercer Music Series presents more than 40 concerts each year, featuring students, faculty, and guest artists in the state-of-the-art McCorkle Music Building.
  • MERCER THEATRE - Each season, Mercer University Theatre produces four theatrical productions, including classics and the latest works.
  • ART GALLERY - The Brown Gallery, located on the lower level of the Monroe F. Swilley Library on the Atlanta campus, hosts art exhibits of local artists from the Atlanta area.

  • BEAR CARD ACCOUNTS - The Bear Card is your official campus ID and can be linked to an account with Wachovia bank.  There is no need to carry cash---the ID can be used like a debit card.  This card, when used off the campus, entitles the user up to 25% in savings at participating restaurants and retail stores.

  • CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL - This 10-day event in March, heralded as one of the "Top 100 Events in North America," is enjoyed by thousands of visitors to the Macon area.  The festival, featuring over 500 events and exhibits, celebrates the nearly 271,500 blooming Yoshino cherry trees that cover Macon's streets and neighborhoods.  
  • GEORGIA AQUARIUM - In the heart of downtown Atlanta stands the world's largest aquarium.  With more than 100,000 animals from around the globe, the Georgia Aquarium is a must see!
  • QUADWORKS - Through events like the Snow Ball and Homecoming, Quadworks is a University sponsored program that encourages students and staff to have fun together. 
  • NCAA DIVISION I SPORTS - A member of the Atlantic Sun Conference, Mercer's athletic program gives students, faculty and staff something to cheer about throughout the academic year.
