Calista Anne Waddy

Born and raised in Georgia, Calista Anne Waddy has performed throughout the United States.  As a solo harpist for hundreds of weddings and special events throughout the Southeast, Calista Anne Waddy maintains a busy performance schedule.  In addition to performances with Itzhak Perlman, the Canadian Brass, the Detroit Symphony, the Pensacola Symphony, and the LaGrange Symphony, Calista Anne has been highly sought after to be featured in performances for small and large ensembles. As a soloist, Calista has performed for such notable Americans as President Jimmy Carter, President George H. W. Bush, Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Senator Johnny Isakson, and the guests at Toni Braxton’s wedding. She received her Bachelors of Music degree in Music Therapy with a principal in harp from Florida State University. Her Masters was in Harp Performance with an emphasis in church music studies.  Additionally, she has studied harp at Interlochen Center for the Arts, Eastern Music Festival, and Sewannee Music Festival.  On top of her busy teaching schedule, she has coached in many youth orchestras, helped form the Covington Community Orchestra, as well as leading several harp ensembles.
