Originally from
Anchorage Alaska, Lisa Lombardo attended undergraduate school at the University of the Pacific's Conservatory of Music.  While in California she was principle bassoonist with the Lodi Chamber Orchestra and played frequently with the Stockton Symphony.  In 1989, Mrs. Lombardo joined the Air Force as a member of the Command Band of the Air Force Reserve at Headquarter Reserve, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.  In addition to performing, Mrs. Lombardo was the noncommissioned officer in charge of chamber ensembles.  In 1996, Mrs. Lombardo returned to school at the University of Georgia, Athens where she completed her Master of Music in 1998.  She has completed her course work for a DMA in performance and is currently working on her document compiling the history of bassoon making in the United States.  Mrs. Lombardo currently serves as principle bassoonist for the Statesboro Symphony, and contrabassoonist for the Macon Symphony.  She is an adjunct faculty member at Mercer University and Georgia College and State University, and also teaches continuing education courses at Gordon College.
