Dr. Timms is the author of multiple publications.  Her areas of expertise/interest include gerontology, palliative and end-of-life care, service learning, and community-based learning and partnerships.  While serving as a tenured faculty member at Clemson University, Dr. Timms' was the co-principal investigator on a three-year HRSA grant that established the first gerontology nurse practitioner program at Clemson.  She currently serves as the Principal Investigator in an interdisciplinary faith-based palliative care initiative at Mercer University.
