Professor Stewart became a full-time Mercer University faculty member in 2006.  Her clinical practice expertise is in the area of pediatric nursing, with a graduate degree focus as a pediatric nurse practitioner.  Her experience includes working with children in acute care settings, as well as community settings.  She is an active member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurses and Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing (Pi Gamma Chapter).  Her current research focuses on recruitment and retention of undergraduate nursing students.
