Mercer Students to Participate in Engineering Competition

More than 100 first-year engineering students will pit their vehicles against each other from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 21, in the University Center in Macon. Students have been designing and constructing vehicles using K'Nex building toys and other materials to compete in the following categories: boat tug-o-war, amphibious, dragster, cable car, rampster and tug-o-war. The first-year engineering students have been grouped in teams to compete against each other in the various categories. This is a fun and challenging way for students to put their designs to the test and learn the skills necessary to succeed in the engineering field.
