Dr. Tom Glennon, professor and chair of the program in leadership and service, led a panel discussion on “The Ethic of Service” at the Georgia Summit on Volunteerism held in Atlanta, Oct. 16. The summit was sponsored by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the Georgia Commission for Service and Volunteerism, the Georgia Association of Volunteer Administration Inc., the Council of Volunteer Administrators of Atlanta and Hands On Georgia. The Mercer AmeriCorps program, under the direction of Glennon, received the highest score in the state for its program plan for fiscal years 07-09.
