MACON, Ga. – Following a 10-day break for final exams, the Mercer men’s basketball team is on the road again looking to stay perfect in the month of December as they visit Southeastern Conference opponent Auburn Wednesday night. School of Engineering Wins Major Grant to Enhance Entrepreneurship Offerings

MACON, Ga. — The Mercer University School of Engineering has received a $50,000 grant to expand and modify course offerings. The School is one of just five in the country to receive the grant this year from the Kern Entrepreneurship Education Network, sponsored by the Kern Family Foundation. The grant will run for two years, with options for renewals thereafter through a competitive process. Mercer Again Earns High Marks In Survey of Student Engagement

MACON — Mercer University continues to score significantly higher than its peers on a major survey of student engagement and learning. The National Survey of Student Engagement results for the University showed Mercer had achieved above its peers in all five benchmark areas of the study. The survey also confirmed the University’s outstanding performance in overall learning. MACON — The Mercer School of Engineering recently received national attention in two publications for its female-friendly atmosphere. The School is third in the nation for percentage of female students earning bachelor of science degrees in PRISM, the American Society for Engineering Education’s magazine. The six students are in the College’s Holistic Child Program, which focuses on elementary and special education. Tift College of Education Alumna Named Cobb County Teacher of the Year

The Cobb County School District announced the selection of Gina Coss, fifth grade teacher at Sedalia Park Elementary School, as the 2007-2008 district Teacher of the Year. New Physician Assistant Program Receives Provisional Accreditation

ATLANTA — The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will launch its Physician Assistant in January 2008 following the announcement of its provisional accreditation by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant Inc.
