Mercer to Host Regional Math Conference Saturday

MACON — Mercer University will host its Fourth Biennial Undergraduate Research in Mathematics Conference on the University’s Macon campus on Saturday in the University's Science and Engineering Building. The regional conference will feature research by undergraduate students from several southeastern states, as well as Mercer. The event takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will include student presentations, a plenary speaker and a math competition.

The conference is being held in conjunction with the Mathematical Association of America State Lunch, which will be held at 12:30 p.m. in the Presidents Dining room, located in the University Center. The conference’s plenary speaker this year will be Dr. Robert Bosch from Oberlin College.
