Mercer Medicine and the Mercer School of Medicine welcomed two new physicians, Dr. Jalal K. Ghali and Dr. Nnamdi Nwaohiri, and will relocate the practices of two longtime physician scholars. Effective Jan. 2, Dr. William F. Bina III and Dr. W. Patrick Roche will be relocating their physician practices.
Dr. Ghali is a board-certified cardiologist and chief of the Cardiology Division for the School of Medicine, as well as a professor and associate chair for research. He is an internationally renowned expert in the research of cardiovascular diseases, as well as the management of heart failure. Dr. Nwaohiri is board certified in internal medicine and is also an assistant professor of nephrology with the School of Medicine. Dr. Bina, dean of the School of Medicine, will be relocating his family medicine practice to the Mercer Medicine Sports Medicine Clinic, at 1327 Stadium Dr. inside the Drake Field House on the Macon campus.
Dr. Roche, associate professor with the School of Medicine, as well as the clerkship and program director for third year residents, will be relocating his family medicine practice to the Mercer Medicine Multi-Specialty Clinic located at 657 Hemlock St., Suite 200, in Macon.
