This week, the Broadway smash hit “Chicago” made its Macon premiere at The Grand Opera House Wednesday and Thursday, April 9-10. For those who were unable to secure a ticket to the sold-out event, there will be one more opportunity to experience live, professional Broadway music this season.
The Grand will finish its season in May with the jubilant revue of Broadway’s most beloved songs, “Neil Berg’s 100 Years of Broadway,” playing Thursday-Friday, May 8-9. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Five acclaimed Broadway veterans will perform highlights from the actual shows that they have starred in and many others. “Neil Berg’s 100 Years of Broadway” recreates the finest moments from the greatest musicals of the century, such as “Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Miserables,” “Aida,” “Jekyll & Hyde,” “The Music Man,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Movin’ Out,” “Jersey Boys,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Grease,” “Rent,” “Wicked,” “Mamma Mia,” and more.
