Several of the University’s schools and colleges presented awards to outstanding faculty at the end of the year during the University’s faculty recognition ceremony on April 3. Ann C. Keeley, assistant professor of nursing in the Georgia Baptist College of Nursing, and Lana M. Chase, assistant professor of nursing in the Georgia Baptist College of Nursing, shared the top award. Keeley and Chase were presented with the Innovations in Teaching Award, which is co-sponsored by the Vulcan Materials Co. It was the first time that faculty outside of the Macon campus were eligible to compete for the award.
