Approximately 1,700 students will be recognized during the University's graduation ceremonies on its Macon and Atlanta campuses in May. President William D. Underwood will confer bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees during nine commencements, and graduates will hear from an array of distinguished speakers.
Among those speaking at the commencements will be Gov. Sonny Perdue, who will give the keynote address at the May 16 commencement, at which graduates will receive degrees from the College of Liberal Arts, Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics, Tift College of Education, School of Engineering and Townsend School of Music in Macon.
In Atlanta, John A. Allison, chairman of BB&T Corp., one of the nation’s largest financial holding companies, will be the featured speaker at the Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics commencement on May 23.
