Law School Hosts Annual Law Review Symposium

Mercer’s Walter F. George School of Law is hosting its annual Law Review Symposium Nov. 5-6, bringing together the top legal writing scholars in the nation in celebration of 25 years of the Legal Writing Institute. Mercer Law School is the preeminent legal writing institution in the nation, being ranked first or second in the nation every year.
 
Mercer Law School is home of the LWI, a non-profit organization composed of more than 2,600 members. LWI is dedicated to improving legal writing by providing a forum for discussion and scholarship about legal writing, analyses and research. LWI is the second-largest organization of law professors in the United States.

The symposium, which is facilitated by law students on the Mercer Law Review, begins Nov. 5 with a gala dinner and continues the following day from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. with plenary sessions examining issues surrounding the teaching, scholarship and program design of legal writing.
