Mary Beerman taught as an adjunct clinical instructor for three years before becoming a full-time faculty member in 2006.  Her clinical practice expertise is in cardiovascular nursing, with a graduate degree focusing on the Clinical Nurse Specialist role.  She holds certification in critical care nursing from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.  She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International (Pi Gamma Chapter) and currently serves on the Pi Gamma Board.  She is also a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, as well as a Cardiac Care Associate of the American College of Cardiology.  She is a board member of the Alumni Association of Georgia Baptist College of Nursing.  Her research focus includes sensory experiences of patients undergoing electrophysiology studies.
