Elaine Grier holds certification in critical care from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.  She has great interest in the experiences of death, dying, and bereavement and has served as a national leader in The Compassionate Friends support group for bereaved parents.  Research interests include the development of resilience in the practice of professional nursing.  She has presentated locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally and has been a co-author of two published research studies.
