Professor Lewis is one of the nine faculty employed to develop and implement the college of nursing curriculum. She is board certified in advanced nursing practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a clinical nurse specialist in adult health. Ms. Lewis is a member of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS), the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Georgia Nurses Association (GNA), and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Pi Gamma Chapter). Her research interests include improving student standardized and teacher made test performance and interdisciplinary educational experiences to improve healthcare. She serves as co-advisor for the Georgia Baptist Association of Nursing Students (GBANS). Ms. Lewis received the Outstanding Faculty Performance Award from students and serves as a gust lecturer in Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Health Assessment, and Pharmacology. She also serves as a consultant in nursing education and healthcare matters.
