Special English Programs

Special programs can be designed for groups of international students or professionals during the summer months (June or July) for specific English purposes. These programs are specially designed to meet the academic and professional needs of the group.

Currently Mercer University sponsors two summer English programs.

The Seinan Jo Gakuin Summer English Program

This 3-week program brings students from Seinan Jo Gakuin Junior College (Japan) to the Macon campus to learn English, to have a cross-cultural experience, and to see different aspects about American life. The program runs annually in July. Students from Seinan Jo will be able to do the following things.

  • Learn new English
  • Stay with an American host family
  • See interesting cultural sites
  • Make new friends

Professional English Development Course
