Mercer's undergraduate admissions process requires official academic records, including transcripts and school leaving certificates, from secondary education institutions and post-secondary schools if attended. If the records are not produced in English, a translation is also required.
All undergraduate international applicants who are non-native speakers are required to successfully complete the Mercer University English Language Institute
or have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 PBT, 213 CBT, or 80 IBT.
Some graduate programs may require a TOEFL score even with successful completion of the ELI.
Third-party evaluations on all international transcripts are also required. Commonly used services include
SILNY and
WES.
Applicants requiring a student visa to study in the U.S. will be asked to submit proof of financial support and bank certification of available funds.
