Bear FITNESS (Student Fitness Incentive Program)
- This program is a student fitness/wellness incentive program designed to encourage participation in physical activity (group exercise, swimming, running/walking, lifting weights) and attendance of health and wellness related programs.
- All current Mercer students are eligible to participate.
- Posted on the Student Wellness homepage is a schedule of programs and events for the Fall semester and the point values for each.
- To earn points you must first register for the program and then after every work-out or attendance of a program just document your participation.
- To register for the program, sign up in the Fitness Center.
- Students may register anytime during the academic year. You will be able to accumulate points effective on your sign up date.
The Bear Fitness Incentive Program will end on July 31, 2008. The new program will begin on August 18, 2008.

50 points - Bear Fitness T-shirt, orange or blue
100 points - Bear Fitness Water Bottle
150 points - Movie Ticket to Amstar
200 points - Bear Fitness Long Sleeve T-shirt
250 points - Bear Fitness Gym Bag
Group Fitness Classes
A variety of group fitness classes are offered each week to students, faculty, and staff. Come enjoy classes such as Pilates, Yoga, Kickboxing, Fit Club, Step, and many others.

Personal Training
Need a personal trainer? Whether you need assistance with a weight loss program or simply want to maintain or improve your overall health, our personal training program is your means to effectively achieve your goals.
The personal training program provides quality fitness instruction and motivation for goal attainment; easily accommodating the needs of all individuals. One of our certified personal trainers will work with you to design a program that is tailored to meet your personal goals and interests, as well as provide the necessary guidance to achieve your personal best.
