Research and scholarship at Mercer University includes numerous opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to enhance learning and to contribute to the frontiers of knowledge. As part of its strategic plan, Mercer intends to strengthen its institutional research infrastructure and to engage in even more scholarly activity.

Currently, research and scholarly activity occurs mostly within the colleges and schools of the University. With a diverse range of programs, Mercer strives for collaboration across the departments and the colleges and schools, as well as with other universities and insitutions committed to research.  Additionally, Mercer works with the Georgia Research Alliance and the Georgia Cancer Coalition.
