Research Compliance CITI HUMAN SUBJECT TRAINING

All persons conducting research involving human subjects must have on file with the Office of Research Compliance a valid certificate of Human Subjects Training.

Training can be obtained from the CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative)A copy will be sent automatically to the Office of Research Compliance. You may return to the course site in the future to obtain a copy of the certificate for your use.

Individuals who are exposed to protected health information in the course of their research are required by the University's mandate from the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 to obtain basic HIPAA awareness training. A copy of the certificate of completion may be included with an IRB application if applicable. http://www2.mercer.edu/HIPAA/registration.htm
