Consider an internship this Summer!
In Central Georgia, in your hometown, or around the state or nation students who want to get some experience while earning academic credit should consider a summer internship. Some internships are paid.
How to Find an Internship
Current internship listings can be found by using SuccessTrak, located on the Mercer Career Services website at www.mercer.edu/career. SuccessTrak lists internships that are available in the central Georgia area, around the state, and nationally. You must register on-line by creating a profile in order to access these listings.
Career Services has additional internship listings and contacts available in the office located on the top floor of the Connell Student Center. Students should schedule an appointment with a Career Services advisor as soon as possible (301-2863) to discuss their specific interests and needs that can be matched with available opportunities.
Career Day will be held in March in the University Center Arena. Many employers will be recruiting for summer internships.
Career Services can also help students create an internship that meets their interests located in the central Georgia area or close to their home. This requires that a student meet with a Career Services advisor early during the Spring semester to establish the necessary contacts in order to create the internship. Department chairs and deans must also be involved if academic credit is desired. |
