If you are a student or faculty /staff and have not obtained a Mercer ID, also called a
Bear Card, you may contact Auxiliary Services at 678-547-6159 to have one made.
Community Members obtain their membership cards through the Sheffield Gym check-in desk.

The Sheffield Center is available for use by Mercer University STUDENTS, FACULTY, STAFF, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS
holding a valid Mercer ID or membrship card. Use of the facility is governed by the rules
posted throughout the facility and available at the check-in desk. Each patron is responsible for reading and
adhering to the rules. Throughout the year, many
activities and opportunities for fitness, recreation, and health
education will be presented at low or no cost to students and facutly / staff.
GUESTS: The Sheffield Center is
available for use by immediate
family members of faculty, staff,
and students free of charge. Any other guests will be charged a
guest fee of $5.00 per visit. In order for the guest to
gain
entry, they must be:
1. Accompanied by the Mercer host OR have the Mercer host's ID card
2.
Have a Sheffield Center admittance card issued by the Assistant
Director of Wellness & Recreation
3. The Mercer host must accompany children under age 15 at all times.
4. Guests must pay a $5.00 fee COMMUNITY MEMBERS: Community
members may join the Sheffield and attend supervised activities
inlcuding
fitness classes, personal training sessions, massage therapy, swim
lessons, and other activities as they are added and are charged the
community member fee. Community members may join the facility per
month for $30.00 or per semester for $110.00. A liability waiver
and application must be signed and an admittance card will be issued if
applicable. There will be a one time charge of $5.00 for
each membership card that is issued. Addtional Information

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE:
Immediately upon entering
the Sheffield Center, a valid Mercer ID card (Bear card) or membership card must be presented to the
check-in desk personnel. You must bring your Bear card or membership card to gain admittance to the Sheffield Gym.
