Current Research & Research Tools
The Gospel and Letters of John, Interpreting Biblical Texts (Nashville: Abingdon Press), was published in the summer of 1998. "Parable as Commentary: The Twice-Given Vineyard" will appear in the Edgar V. McKnight Festschrift issue of Perspectives in Religious Studies.
My next project is a commentary on the Gospel of Mark for the Smyth & Helwys Bible Commentaries, for which I am also the New Testament General Editor. The first volume of this series will be published next year, and it will eventually be a 30-volume commentary series. We hope that its novel format will represent the next generation in the commentary genre.
Currenty, I am working in a book on my father's life and thought, that I have tentatively titled, "Eternity as a Sunrise: The Life and Thought of Hugo H. Culpepper."
I also serve as the New Testament editor for "Biblical Interpretation Series," a monograph series published by E. J. Brill, and I am on the editorial board of the Journal for the Study of the New Testament Supplement Series.
