Atlanta Campus

Welcome…
from the Senior Vice President - Atlanta
Dr. Richard V. Swindle

Dr. Richard V. Swindle Welcome to Mercer University’s Cecil B. Day Graduate and Professional Campus in Atlanta.  This campus is a vital and growing part of Mercer and is the home campus to more than 2,400 students and 272 faculty and staff.

Founded in 1833, Mercer has been a part of Atlanta’s academic community since 1959, when College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, located in downtown Atlanta, merged with the University.  The Atlanta campus became a part of the University in 1973.  Throughout the years the 300-acre campus has experienced significant growth in facilities, program and enrollment.

With a focus on graduate and professional studies, six of the University’s 11 schools and colleges offer degree programs on the Atlanta campus: College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Georgia Baptist College of Nursing, James and Carolyn McAfee School of Theology, Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics, Tift College of Education and the College of Continuing and Professional Studies.  The campus – combined with the University’s regional academic centers in nearby Henry and Douglas counties – has established Mercer University as a leading provider in quality higher education in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Whether you are on campus to explore educational opportunities, attend a meeting, or to talk with someone, we are pleased to have you visit with us.

Sincerely,

Richard V. Swindle
Senior Vice President - Atlanta
