Mercer in the National Spotlight

Mercer University and the Atlantic Sun Conference have become the media darlings across the country in the first few days of the college basketball season. Following a couple of upsets by sister schools in the A-Sun, Mercer’s men’s basketball team went to Los Angeles on Nov. 10 and stunned the #18 Southern Cal Trojans, 96-81. Three days later, Mercer fans filled the University Center to standing-room-only – witnessed by local, state and national media -- and hosted the University of Alabama. Although the Crimson Tide narrowly won a 90-83 contest in Macon, the stage has been set for Mercer spirit to be at an all time high for the 2007-08 season.
